Smart Cupping After Exercise: How to Use It and Key Precautions
Partager
Smart cupping can be part of a relaxation routine after training, provided you use it gradually and sensibly.
Wait until you have cooled down
Drink some water, walk for a few minutes and let your breathing return to normal before using a cup.
Choose the area
Choose a healthy, fleshy muscle area. Avoid joints, the spine, varicose veins, irritated skin, wounds and areas with acute pain.
Set a low intensity
For your first use, choose the lowest setting and a short session. Stronger suction is not necessarily better. Stop immediately if it becomes painful.
Check your skin
A temporary mark may appear. Allow the area to recover and do not go over a tender mark again.
A device designed for your routine

This practice does not replace medical or physiotherapy care. It is not recommended in several situations, including anticoagulant use or circulatory disorders: ask for advice if you are unsure.
