Neck pain at the office: posture and a 10-minute relaxation routine

A forward head position, raised shoulders and several hours without a break can create a strong feeling of neck tension. A few adjustments can reduce the accumulated strain.

Adjust your workstation

Place the top of your screen near eye level, bring your keyboard closer and keep your feet supported. The aim is not a fixed posture, but a comfortable position that lets you move often.

The 10-minute routine

  1. One minute of slow breathing with relaxed shoulders.
  2. Two minutes of gentle shoulder rotations.
  3. Two minutes of gentle head tilts, without making full circles.
  4. Two minutes of chest-opening movements.
  5. Three minutes of relaxation or light massage.

Continue relaxing at home

The AuraStep™ 4D neck massager can complement your after-work routine. Position it according to the instructions, start at a comfortable intensity and stop if it hurts.

Frequent movement remains essential: stand up regularly, look into the distance and change position. Seek advice if pain follows an injury, travels down your arm or is accompanied by numbness.
